ARC 3.5m | Accessing Data

Your data will remain on arc-gateway.apo.nmsu.edu:/export/images/your program code/UTYYMMDD/ for 9 to 12 months before being automatically deleted. Data can be accessed via an account and password on arc-gateway; you should first reach out to your institutional scheduler before calling APO (575-437-6822) if you are unsure of the correct login access. You should retrieve your science data off from APO computers as soon as possible after it is taken. We DO NOT back up data locally here.
Special note For NICFPS users:
Your normal processed images (after Fowler Sampling processing) will be available on arc-gateway.apo.nmsu.edu:/export/images/your program code/UTYYMMDD/ for 9 to 12 months before being automatically deleted. However, The raw images from which the processed images are made, found in /export/images/forTron/nicfps/*.raw.fits, will be removed after only 90 days. Please ensure that you have copied over these raw images soon after your run if you want them. Data can be accessed using your institution's user name and password or ftp-ed via the images account and password. Please first contact your institutions' assigned scheduler before calling APO (575-437-6822) if you are unsure of the correct login.

Your data can be accessed via TUI, SCP, or FTP only! TUI also has the capability to auto-ftp the data over to your local machine while you are taking the data.

TUI method (recommended)

TUI -> Preferences -> Exposures to gain access to the directory path on your local machine and set the 'auto-get' box to auto-ftp your data to your machine.
